How to make your gel nails last longer

A good gel manicure should last 2–3 weeks looking fresh. With a few small habits, you can get the most out of every set — and keep your natural nails healthy underneath.

Daily habits that protect your gel

Things to avoid

Book a refresh at the right time

Even with perfect care, your nails grow. A refresh every 3–4 weeks keeps things neat and prevents lifting at the base. If you notice a lifted edge, book sooner — trapped moisture under lifted gel isn't good for your nail.

Golden rule: a bottle of cuticle oil on your desk + a proper removal (never peeling) will keep your nails strong set after set.
