Your first eyelash extension appointment: what to expect

Nervous about your first set? Don't be — it's one of the most relaxing beauty appointments there is. Here's exactly what happens, and how to prep for the best result.

What happens during the appointment

A quick consultation. We talk about the look you want and check your natural lashes to recommend the right set.
You relax — eyes closed. You lie back comfortably with your eyes gently closed the whole time. Many clients nap!
Precision work. Your artist applies each lash one by one. It's painless — you'll just feel light touches.
Time: a full set usually takes around 1.5–2.5 hours depending on the style.

How to prepare

Come with clean, bare lashes — no mascara, no eye makeup, no lash curler that day.
Skip caffeine right before if it makes your eyes flutter — still eyes help the artist work.
Remove contact lenses or bring your case; your eyes stay closed for a while.
Plan a little downtime after — keep them dry for the first 24 hours (more in our aftercare guide).

First-timer tip: if you're unsure how dramatic to go, start a touch more natural. You can always go fuller at your next visit once you know how you like them.
