Can you wear makeup with eyelash extensions?

Good news: you can absolutely still wear makeup with lash extensions. You just need to be a little choosy about what and how.

The short answer

Yes — eyeshadow, brows, foundation and eyeliner are all fine. The only real rules are around oils and mascara, which affect how long your lashes last.

What to avoid

• Oil-based products — removers, rich creams and some primers break down the lash adhesive.
• Waterproof mascara — it's very hard to remove without oil and tugging.
• Oily cotton pads near the lash line.

Eye makeup that's safe

Powder eyeshadows, brow products, and a gel or liquid eyeliner (kept above the lash line) are all fine. Just avoid heavy, creamy formulas right at the base of your lashes.

How to remove it safely

Use an oil-free micellar water or a lash-safe foam, and pat gently — never rub or drag. See our aftercare guide for the full routine.

Do you even need mascara?

Usually not. Extensions already give length and darkness. If you love a little extra, use a lash-extension-safe mascara only on the tips — never a waterproof one.
