Are eyelash extensions safe?

It's the question every first-timer asks. The honest answer: yes — when they're applied properly by a trained artist. Here's what actually matters.

Do extensions damage your natural lashes?

Not when they're done correctly. A single extension is applied to a single natural lash, at a weight your lash can support. Damage usually comes from the opposite: lashes that are too heavy, poor isolation, or clients picking and pulling them off. Choose skill, and your natural lashes stay healthy.

Are the adhesives safe?

Professional lash adhesives are designed to bond away from the skin and eye. If you have sensitive eyes or a history of reactions, tell your artist — a patch test can be done first. Your eyes stay closed and protected throughout.

Myth: your lashes need a break

With correctly applied extensions, your natural lash cycle continues normally — there's no need to "rest" your lashes. What helps most is gentle care and proper removal instead of pulling.

How to keep it safe

At Lashesta we use lightweight Japanese lashes, professional adhesive and careful one-to-one application to protect the health of your natural lashes.
